First C-PACE Project in Baltimore County: Towson Commons

Baltimore County has become the 18th jurisdiction in Maryland to use C-PACE financing to boost local economic development and improve energy efficiency.

Towson Commons, a mixed-use development of retail and office space used C-PACE to finance a large installation of energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the property. This lighting project alone is projected to result in over $1.7 million in net energy savings. This project was financed by Greenworks Lending, which has funded C-PACE deals in many other jurisdictions around the Mid-Atlantic.

The Maryland PACE Program is sponsored by the MD Clean Energy Center and administered by PACE Financial Services.
