Local Government

Arlington County: Arlington launched the Commonwealth’s first C-PACE program. The initiative is part of the overall Community Energy Plan implementation effort, spearheaded by the County’s ReThink Energy team. Arlington’s C-PACE Program’s Program Administrator contract can be “ridden” by other governments. The contract is designed to enable other Virginia local governments to quickly and efficiently set up their own local C-PACE programs at low cost to the jurisdiction.

For general inquiries about MAPA, please contact DMME

The Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy’s (DMME) Division of Energy is the State Energy Office (SEO) in Virginia.  DMME is the recipient of the U.S. Department of Energy’s State Energy Program grant forming the Mid-Atlantic PACE Alliance.  Two key components of the Division of Energy’s mission as the SEO are to increase the use of proven energy conservation practices, and to foster growth of emerging and sustainable energy industries.  DMME is encouraging growth of C-PACE throughout the Commonwealth and is confident that C-PACE will be an important resource in helping to meet these objectives.
